Howard & Co, Boston, Series VII, split-plate model, 17J, N-S (just over 19S), very heavy 14K gold original Keystone HC with five-knuckle hinges, initials to front, gold cuvette, glazed observation cover over mvt, white enamel DS dial, umbrella style hands, SW-SS, radiating fishscale pattern nickel damascene, s#228893. Gross weight of assembled watch 102.0 dwt (158.7 g); gross weight of case only with movement and with crown/stem assembly removed 59.9 dwt (93.2 g). A very impressive original example in a notably heavy 14K gold hunting case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, very few negligible small micro-fine scratches; virtually flawless dial with only some mild edge rub under bezel in a few areas; nearly mint hands; case shows hardly any wear, small soft ding to rear a bit below-right of center, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystals.
